City Hall
Jesuitenplatz, 56068 Koblenz
Towards the end of the 16th century, the Jesuits came to Koblenz and took over a Cistercian convent.
Later they built the two-winged "school building", today's Old Town Hall. The inscription "Jesuitenkollegium" on the town hall arch commemorates the oldest school institution in the city. The castle-like Jesuit grammar school with its towers and magnificent portals was built in 1694-1701. Since 1895, the town hall of the city of Koblenz has been housed here (Town Hall Building I).
