Kurpark und Kuranlagen, Bad Salzig
Salzbornstraße 14, 56154 Boppard-Bad Salzig
The history of the approx. 20-hectare spa park is closely connected with the history of the Bad Salzig healing spring. Since 1907, healing Glauber's salt water, which has a stimulating effect on stomach and intestinal activity, has bubbled up in the freely accessible Leonorenquelle. Well-developed footpaths wind through the entire park with its impressive tree population. Scientists have long since discovered that nature and green spaces are good for body and soul. The greenery, the many colors and the soothing sounds of nature have a relaxing effect, lower blood pressure and relieve pain. Thus, the spa park and the spring are the ideal complement to the Mittelrhein-Klinik, a specialized psychosomatic clinic, which is located in the spa park.
The landscape architectural significance lies in the existing old tree population and in a historic bathhouse from 1905, which is used for the therapies of the Mittelrhein-Klinik. In the spa park there are various art objects and nature installations, a therapy garden with herb snail and barefoot path, a miniature golf course, a bocce court, an outdoor fitness station and a water treading pool. Forest sofas scattered throughout the spa park invite you to relax and enjoy. There is an alpaca enclosure on the grounds and sheep graze on the lawns during the spring and summer months.
